Yesterday Lasts Forever...

The past is like a thread that links us to the present which forms the future.
Shirking it would mean not accepting your existence while accepting it would be to winnow out the lessons for the better tomorrow..

I ran
I turned
I shunned
I squirmed
Yet it dragged
Blocking evry path even though ragged....

Every turn
Every course
Evey minute
Every force
It stayed along
Stiffling me wherever I belonged...

More I avoided
More it cramped
More I hated
More it stamped
.
.
.
.

More I accepted
More it creased
More I learnt
More it ceased...

Happy Birthday To Me!

These words so well describe what I felt on my birthday..

Instead of counting candles,
Or tallying the years,
Contemplating my blessings,
As the birthday nears.

Considering the special people
Who love me, and who care,
And others who’ve enriched my life
Just by being there.

Thinking about the memories
Passing years can never ram,
Experiences great and small
That have made you who I AM.

Another year is a happy gift,
So I cut the cake, and say,
"Instead of counting birthdays,
I count blessings every day!"

FAMILY...

We all r too busy in our own world. Running to win the race but then u know never forget to take along the very people who made us stand in the race... this one is for you ma pa. I love you...

You are the meaning of strength
at it's highest peak.
You have courage
when the rest of us are weak.

You inspire me
to live for the now.
And to never give up
Cuz’ you don't know how.

I've learned from you
why family comes first.
its cuz’ when you need them,
they are there
whenever you are hurt.

No matter the pain
It all hurts the same.
And family you can count on
to always remain.

When the road gets rocky
you seem to take each bump
and walk over them smoothly
hump after hump.

You have no idea
about the affect you've made
and with the lessons I've learned
my life's made a change.

Not just a change
But also a growth.
From an immature child
to a young woman with hope…

Nothing is big you know
Not with us together
Never with us together….
Ahh! Bring on that smile
Never let it off even for a while…

Another day

Its a beautiful poem I came across that speaks about life, sprituality and you...

Another day, another day
My Lord Supreme is far away.

Another day, my heart can be
The all giving breath of patience tree.

Another day, my life can feed
My soulful world with its crying need.

Another day, I own to hear
God's Voice of Light and feel Him near.

Another day, another day,
My tears shall win His blue gold Ray.

Another day, another day,
And then, no more my ignorance clay.

Another day, I'll be God's Love
Within, without, below, above...

Happy Teacher's Day

As ma was instructing me about the medz I was suppose to take as she was leaving, in half sleeping half woken up state I wished her Happy Teacher’s Day. She just smiled. Since I had absolutely nothing to do and the match wasn’t to start for a good 2 hrs I let my brain lead……

What is education?
Who is my guru?

For a middle class parent the word education spools in the load of a strained pocket thanks to the flaming admission fees of the school, the hierarchy of competitive coaching institutes and the various levels of education system and not to mention the BIG DREAMS for their kiddos that tend to come irrationally free of cost with these. For a newbie it refers to an endless coarse of a ride to the school with a bottle and a big bunk on the back and yet more often than not (to the curious lot) as an exciting awakening to the new and undiscovered with just a few jolts of what we unanimously call the “reports day” and yes for the few who were forced to learn an essay on education for their 8 std English xam it was a forced understanding that education not only includes the boring course which keeps on increasing unfailingly with the size of the books but also something that they have now forgotten( after all how can we remember 1 2 page essay after 2 yrs!!).

In complete contrast ….

For a blind an education refers to the struggle of accepting the reality and stifling the yearning of looking at the world along with the learning of viewing things through the eyes of the others and identifying through the unconventional means of sense of feel. For a dumb education means the art of speaking through their eyes, through the actions learning the hard way that silence is more powerful than words and is a default not the ONLY means of imparting or gaining knowledge. Not as far as that the contrast is present very much at home! To your maid servant education is the talent that gives her work round the clock to provide her family not just with food but to give to her children what is education to the rest of us.

And yet to me education is all these things and more! As per me……..

YOUR first sound at the time of birth to your last word in the life is education, the education of the beginning and the end. Your first fight with a friend over a ball is education, an education of possessiveness. Your first crush and your last heart-break is education, the education of human emotions. Your first win to last crushing defeat is education, an education of power of success. Your first social call is education, the social norms. Your first trip to America to your first fall is education the education of flight. Your first insult to that ohh so unforgettable embarrassment is education, the education that you aren’t perfect. Your first date is education, the education of undiscovered…
Today on Teacher’s Day I would like to thank every1 who were responsible for making me ‘educated’. My family, my friends and yes most importantly my foes who taught me to have a discriminative eye through the harsher way. To all the situations, the subtleties which transformed me, making me someone I am today. They have all been my ‘gurus’

THANK YOU ALL…..
KEEP TEACHING ME ALWAYS…..

Surrender

I swim
In the ocean of hope.
I swim
In the ocean of failure
I swim
In the ocean of tears.
Something more:
I swim
In the ocean of your surrendered will
To wherever it leads...
