UNREQUITED THEY SAY…

As the sun was setting and the ‘time-up’ signal was making its loud call ‘the car’ stopped at my favorite place under the shadow of the ‘slanting tree’ and as I exchanged good-bye for the day I found myself dragged to my dearest place in the apartments!

There I sat with a muddled head and as I was preoccupied with my own jeopardy I failed to acknowledge this little girl crying by my side. Thanks to my very tendency of putting those ‘healing’ shoes for everyone and anyone I listened to the soundless ‘musings’ of this stranger.

Who is it? I asked her. She stared at me for some time and replied you are taking me wrong its ‘different’… I smiled and said since when has the meaning of ‘different’ changed in the dictionary! It took her some 2-3 mins and when I had lost all hopes of being ‘funny’ I saw that wet smile in her eyes. (success! I had finally been able to tickle that funny bone!! ). ‘He doesn’t love me! There is someone else!’ n so I was just a little ‘over the top’ replied she….and after like a score of ‘rueful smiles’ she recovered ‘momentarily’ and left.
And my mind drifted to…

Have you ever wondered why is it that we can feel the negative vibes in a ‘hostile’ environment? How is that even after arriving a little late you can still tell the ‘disturbing silence’ has been triggered by a fight?

If a negative connotation that doesn’t involve you can be as strong as this what do you think is the impact of LOVE?

Love and hatred are two feelings which are too strong to be ignored… they always evoke a response from you. And the reaction is ‘inevitable’. So the question of ‘he doesn’t love me is non-existent’. If you love some1 he will love you in return he is ‘bound’ to love you in return but he would love you in whatever way he is ‘capable’ of loving you!!

And that should be enough? Not because ‘It’s his happiness that matters or love is surrender’ it is all a hog wash something written in books and practical only on a paper! Rather it should be enough because you don’t have the power to ‘foresee’ future. There is someone who is ‘meant’ to love you in whatever way you are ‘yearning’ to be ‘loved’ so let it happen to you as and when it is meant to come to you!

Till then feel happy that you love and are loved by some one. feel happy for the ‘present’ and just remember…

The biggest compliment you can ever give any one is ‘I LOVE YOU’ so don’t shy away from complimenting and leave it to him to ‘trust’ or ‘mistrust’ you by those words …
AND yes more importantly that…

‘UNREQUITED IS IN THE DICTIONARY OF FOOLS’.

PS: I was a happy lady going home for it was the very word 'unrequited' that had muddled up my head that day too!!

Hi Pallavi,

Though this post started on a "Confusing" note... (Maybe because of my own prejudices)... I found U putting quite a few beautiful realities of Love & Life together & above all living with & without them (I say so coz I take Love & Life in d same breath)... & the Best part is that this post comes from a girl who just an year ago told me that Love was something she understood little of... Something that had never touched her.... Love & Life both are beautiful... Wishing U lots of Love all your life (& to the little girl, inside you, that you met beside you)... God Bless Dear... Keep writing !!!!

hmm...if its not requited in the same way it makes u sad....it gets worse if it is requited initially and dies down later...so being happy ???How?

Hehehe...simply coz there is nothing in this world that is unrequited....dunno much abt this concept called love but I dont really believe in the 'same way' kind of thing....there are no 'ways' in love or are there? dunno...
if it dies down it wasnt ever love...
